The information in this column is limited. It does not replace your seeing your astrologer. If you know the sign of your Moon and your Ascending sign, read those sections also. This information is helpful because it mentions planets passing through your sign. These do bring opportunities.

Special note: Here’s wishing all of you the best in September. The emphasis this month is on the signs Capricorn, Aquarius, Leo, Virgo, Libra, and Scorpio. Whatever we have in our own charts, we also become these qualities temporarily. Capricorn climbs, Aquarius knows, Leo rules & plays, Virgo works, Libra compares, and Scorpio transforms. In week 1 Mars is in Capricorn and joins Saturn and Pluto. This can bring big events, and we can help by being circumspect. Mars is in Aquarius in weeks 2, 3 and 4 and shows stress and/or activity with humanity. Mercury finishes its long term stay in creative Leo late on the 5th. The Sun in weeks 1, 2, and 3 and Mercury in weeks 2 and 3 are in Virgo. This shows us focused on work and service. The Sun and Mercury in week 4 and and Venus in week 1 are in Libra and this promotes beauty, art, and a focus on people. In weeks 2, 3, and 4 and all of October, Venus, the love planet, is in passionate Scorpio, hang on Sloopy. Venus squares Mars this month and half of next month. This can promote creativity, but love matters need care. Jupiter continues in Scorpio and promotes intense issues like sex and money. (Look at what has happened since Weinstein, Sexual missteps by men are being exposed and judged and this may improve male female relationships in the future after a bit of tension.) Taxes and insurance will get special attention. (The tax bill has passed.) Jupiter is still trining Neptune and makes dreams come true. This month, Mars squares Uranus and tends to bring unexpected problems. This lessens at the end of the month. A trine from Saturn helps. Saturn is in its own sign, Capricorn. It stays through 2020, and becomes very strong. Saturn here is about being practical and realistic. It represents setting and achieving goals and is climbing the mountain of accomplishment. Capricorns, Taurus, and Virgos should become more practical. Capricorns, Aries, Cancer, and Libra need to get rest, avoid overwork, and remember to seek joy. Uranus has moved from late in fire sign, Aries to early in earth sign, Taurus on May 15th. As noted in my Jan. newsletter and my 2017/2018 events piece, published by the AFA, the shift of this unpredictable planet from fire to earth suggested volcanoes to me and that is what happened with Kiluea. Incidentally, the last time this happened in 1934, Kiluea erupted. For us, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius can expect the unexpected. Disruption describes the situation. It is important to be sensible and not live on the edge. And let’s watch out for any thing or person that is unreliable. On the plus side, new vistas can open up for these signs. And Virgo, and Capricorn can also expect new vistas to open up for them. This will end when Uranus goes back into Aries in November ’18.
A New Moon in Virgo on the 8th, 9th, and morning of the 10th shows a new start for us in dealings with work and service. Full Moon in Aries later on the 24th, the 25th, and the 26th contrasts self interest and interest in others.

Remember that new, full, and quarter moons are powerful times during the month. Actions taken at these times should be positive and well thought out. The quarter moons are in Gemini on the 2nd and 3rd and in Sagittarius later on the 14th, the 15th, and 16th.

Israel continues in the news. In their birth chart, early Scorpio rises, a Taurus Sun is in the 7th, and Moon, Pluto, Saturn, and Mars are in Leo in the 10th. Iran has three planets in Aquarius forming a grand cross with Israel’s planets. This is a tense relationship. The U.S. Embassy moved to Jerusalem under a Taurus new moon, a new start.

The Pluto Uranus square is over. It made the extreme unpredictable and the unpredictable more extreme. When you heard about events that are unusually bad, like tornadoes ( Moore OK.) and earthquakes, Sandy, the Boston Marathon bombing, the Colorado floods, the Philippines typhoon, the Washington mudslide, the IL F4, the Ca. Drought, and the recent floods in Texas, the floods and fires in Ca. In ’17, and the hurricanes of ’17, this was one of the culprits. This aspect existed in the early 30s. I have concluded that this square also represented among other conflicts, the conflict between the left (Uranus) and the right (Capricorn). I have finally resolved it in my own mind. With so much news coverage of the conflicting positions, I see it as an opportunity to see the good that the left has to offer and to see the good that the right has to offer. I’ll be writing a paper on the Uranus/Pluto square soon and posting on facebook. Friend me. I’ll include the good things that are coming from this square like new discoveries about death and the afterlife. This long term square ended at mid-May.

Days that look fairly harmonious this month are: 3 , 8, 9, 13, 14, 19, 22, 23, 28, 29, & 30. For really important events, it requires a deeper look. Part of the magic of Astrology is how much better things go when we start things on good days.

Extra special note: I’m recommending that people read Covey, Dyer, and Chopra during their birth month. They write about achieving success and happiness and this is what the Sun is about in our charts. During the birth month we have the opportunity to start a new cycle of success and these authors have great ideas on how to do it. For those who want to get in on the ground floor of understanding existence and self-improvement, C.C. Zain’s Church of Light books will make you an astrologer and a metaphysician. These books teach us that there is a supernatural dimension in and around us that makes life subtle and interesting. And that Astrology gives us helpful information in innumerable situations. And finally, that we have the power to change our lives through Astrology and by harmonizing our feelings and our thinking.
