S.T.A.R. Guild Apr. 23 ’19 Meeting Report

I was out of town and Ellen graciously agreed to run the meeting and write a report.

Here it is.

We focused on conjunctions, and we noted two members who had Saturn/Uranus conjunctions, and how this conjunction characterizes an age group Both said they had benefited from the combination of practicality and new ideas, being able to change without destroying everything in the process.
One member noted that she had never realized before that she had an out of sign conjunction of Jupiter with Uranus, which she understood to imply her love of travel and new experiences.

The other member with the Saturn/Uranus conjunction opposed to Venus noted that Ebertin listed amputation as well as other things for that conjunction.

Another member had the Sun conjunct both Mercury and Venus, for mental stamina and some lack of objectivity about oneself for the former, and a person who loves beauty and pleasant surroundings and being social for the latter.
We talked about her focus on partnerships with her three planets close together in Libra, and she said she had been married four times. We also noted this member’s conjunction of Jupiter and Neptune in Scorpio, with its psychic healing focus. She noted that her life changed with yoga meditation, that she does reiki with animals very effectively, and that she has been very receptive to hypnotherapy, which recently helped to dissolve an elusive health issue.
Another member noted her Moon/Mars conjunction and her tendency toward temper tantrums and door slammings as a young person, but learned to channel it later. She still attracted Moon/Mars people in her sphere. She noted that it may not have been as destructive as it could have been due to being in Libra.
We thus talked some about conjunctions that can be stronger or weaker depending on the planets involved and what signs they are in.

We also discussed orbs for conjunctions,(10 for luminaries, 5 for others), and we used as reference for definitions, our pocket ephemerides, Ebertin’s Combination of Stellar Influences, and Frances Sakoian’s The Astrologer’s Handbook.

Thank you Ellen.

And I have a conjunction of Pluto, Saturn, and Mars in the wholesign 4th. My dad was a 30 year decorated marine who lived to be 93. The involvement of this conjunction with two interlaced grand trines helped him and it helps me.

Next month on May 28th we will take a look at oppositions. We will also note charts of any topical events, like the Sri Lanka Easter attack.

I’ll be at Book & Bead in Merritt Island doing Astrology Readings on Saturday May 18th. Call or email anytime for services.

On Saturday, June 1st I’ll be at the Eau Gallie Library as part of their star focus. I’ll be talking with young people about astrology. I’ll note that it is 4000 years old and that it is the meaning associated with astronomy.
