March ’18 Newsletter

From the Desk of Leslie Marlar, March ’18

For those of you who are interested, S.T.A.R. Guild Astrology study group meets on Tuesday, March 27th at 6 pm at the library in Cocoa, 308 Forrest Ave. This free meeting is open to those who are curious about Astrology. We do get technical. If you are a beginner, we can show you where to start.
Last month we looked at planetary changes for 2018; in March we will look at Mercury. If you are not in our computer, show up with your birth data and we will put you in, so that you can participate. We do not get to everyone at every meeting.
Here is a look at last month’s events.
Week one was bad for the DOW. Fast moving bodies were in Aquarius, the sign opposite the stock market sign, Leo squaring Jupiter, planet of wealth.
In week 1 and 2, 5 law offices were killed. I think this is in part Mars in Sagittarius. Mars is violent and Sag is shooting and those who shoot on any side.
The Feb 14th the Parkland High shooting happened with Mars squaring Venus and Neptune. We can see the violence coming into the love holiday. The Moon, Mercury, and the Sun were square Jupiter in death sign, Scorpio. The Cancer Ascendant was in a very close opposition with Saturn, and Mars in Sagittarius was within 2 degrees of star Antares, called the heart of the Scorpion.
Nikolas Cruz, 9/24/98 in Margate, Fl, has a Scorpio Moon that was in the middle of the sign at noon. Planets in fixed signs in his chart are: Saturn at 2 Taurus, Uranus at 9 Aquarius, and Mars at 22 Leo. So his Moon will aspect some malefic strongly depending on his birth time. He has Pluto, planet of group events in shooting sign, Sag, as do all of his peers.
Billy Graham died at 99. Transiting Jupiter was with Venus, Sun, and Mercury in his chart in Scorpio in his 8th. This was probably a blessing. Transiting Saturn was and is at his MC, showing change in status. And he is receiving honors by lying in state at the Capital Rotunda. Saturn left Sagittarius recently where it spent three years. He has Mars, his first house ruler and his Moon in Sag., so we can see the decline.

In March, the big story is Mars being in Capricorn in weeks 3 and 4 where it joins Saturn and Pluto. This combo focuses on business, government, and goals. It can be good for Taurus and Virgo. It can cause difficulty for Capricorn, Aries, Cancer, and Libra. p.s. The Sun while in Pisces squares Mars in Sagittarius. And the Sun while in Aries squares Mars in Capricorn. So important battles are a foot and shifting. Mars trines Uranus while in Sag and brings new actions. The Sun joins Neptune early in March and brings la la land. Venus joins Uranus later in the month and brings original love and art.
Mercury is retrograde from the 22nd on; so let’s focus.
The Full Moon in Virgo on the 1st and the 2nd contrasts vision and mission. The New Moon in Pisces later on the 15th, the 16th, and the morning of the 17th shows a new start in our inner lives. A second Full Moon on the afternoon of the 30th and the 31st in Libra contrasts identity and relationship.
Fairly good days are: 5, 6, 7, 15, 16, 19, 20, 21, & 26.
I’ll be doing Astrology mini readings at Book and Bead on the 17th. And I’ll be talking about 2018 at the Spiritualist Church in Melbourne on the 18th at 10 am, Sunday.
