July ’17 Newsletter

From the Desk of Leslie Marlar, July ’17

For those of you who are local, S.T.A.R. Guild Astrology study group meets on July 25th at 6 pm at the library in Cocoa at 308 Forrest Ave. We will be looking at topical personal and world events. We will address the Aug. 21st solar eclipse and start looking at astrocartography. With this we note how a person’s chart changes as the person moves to another location.

This past month I’m looking at the following events. The Raqqa offensive started around the 6th. Warring Mars had just changed sign to Cancer and the Moon was in the death sign, Scorpio. During the Full Moon in justice sign, Sagittarius, Comey testified and made numerous shocking statements; Trump was not under investigation and Lynch was playing politics. Under this same moon Teresa May failed to get a majority.
On June 14th, Scalise was shot; the Sun was opposing Saturn in shooting sign, Sagittaius and Mars was on the Ascendant at the time of the shooting. Also the high rise fire happened in London with Mars in Cancer, the real estate sign and Saturn was still in fire sign Sagittarius at the Midheaven. Shakespeare would say that Saturn was reigning. Also on that day there was a shooting in San Francisco.
Otto Warmbier died on the 19th which furthers the tensions with Noko. We can note that the cardinal T square is becoming a grand cross with the addition of hot, violent and harmful Mars in Cancer. This powerful, and for some events, more long term correspondent can probably be applied to the Venezuela situation, heat in the Southwest, the oil tanker explosion in Pakistan, and the China landslide. The landslide happened under a wet New Moon in Cancer. When we have times for events, we see additional connections.
On the longest day of the year, when light is stronger than dark, ISIS blew up an 800 year old mosque. That’s a great example of perversion. Finally with the Moon in Leo, Trump’s rising sign, the Supremes in a 9 to 0 vote stopped the travel ban stay by lower courts.
Next month Mars continues in Cancer until the 20th, so the grand cross is at work.
Full Moon in formal Capricorn on the afternoon of the 7th, the 8th, and 9th contrasts private versus public life. New Moon in Leo on the 23rd and 24th gives us a new start in our lives relative to power and play.
Fairly good days this month are: 3, 4, 11, 18, 24, & 31. And 13 and 14 to a lesser degree; this is what happens when the Moon squares Saturn but also trines the Sun.

I’ll be at Book & Bead doing Astrology mini readings on the 15th.
