Dec ’18 Newsletter

From the Desk of Leslie Marlar, Dec ’18

For those of you who are local, S.T.A.R. Guild will meet on January 22nd at the library in Cocoa, 308 Forrest, at 6 pm. We will be looking at Venus in our charts. In December, we have our Christmas party. I you know us, join us at Grills on US 1 near the Pineda at 6:30 on Tuesday, Dec 11.
Last Month we looked at the meaning of Jupiter in Sagittarius in us and in the world. See my report on this on my site soon.
In the world last month we note several events and their association with sky events.
With the New Moon in death sign, Scorpio on Nov. 6th, 200 mass graves were found in Iraq.
Also we had the election. There was a New Moon, a new start. Uranus changed sign and was retrograde; showing changes for progressives. Some major progressives lost, like Gillum and Abrams. A number did win in the house which will bring change. Saturn, the Democrats, was strong in Capricorn and they won the House. Jupiter, the Republicans, became strong 2 days after the election, and they did pick up seats in the Senate; it took a while to see how many. Mercury went retrograde on the 16th, the hand recount began in Fla. I did think that the Republicans would do better with their planet, Jupiter in the sign of the New Moon. Watching all is how we learn.
On Nov. 7th, the Thousand Oaks shooting happened under a New Moon in death, sign Scorpio with Jupiter and square Mars. And the Ascendant of the event opposes Mars. Mars in the 1st or 7th house shows the bad guy at the door. Mercury was in shooting sign Sagittarius. And the next day Jupiter and the Moon went into Sagittarius. Jupiter in legislative sign, Sagittarius could bring some gun law changes.
On Nov. 8th with Jupiter in fire sign, Sagittarius moving to a square with fiery Mars, we became aware of the California fires and the town of Paradise burned. The two have been squaring since then and to the end of Nov.
The caravan continues and I site Mars square Jupiter in late Oct and Nov. When it began, Mars in Aquarius showed humanity stirred up. Mars later went to Pisces and Jupiter to Sagittarius, sign of immigrants. So Mars is still driving them.
Finally 50 clerics were killed by a suicide bomber at a clerics meeting in Kabul on the 20th. Jupiter represents clerics and it is square violent Mars.

Next month, a wide square between Pluto and Uranus is back and could add to the current political turmoil. Early in the month Mars is near Neptune and makes action mysterious and unfocused.

In 2019 we are watching Saturn getting closer to Pluto in Capricorn. Saturn is the reality check planet and Pluto adds extremes. Extreme loss comes to mind, so we should take care to avoid loss. Pluto in Capricorn opposes Mercury in the U.S. Chart and Saturn opposes our Sun and is moving to opposing Mercury. As a country we need to take care with money and be more circumspect in our speech. But I am not talking about restricting free speech. Also the Democrats are Saturn and Saturn is also conservatives. So both sides are represented. When things sound a bit bad, we just have to get smart. And these planets can bring good; an extreme but good goal is an example of these two planets producing good.. The awareness of a dynamic leader is also possible. Another aspect to be aware of is Neptune squaring Jupiter. So Jupiter in legislative sign, Sagittarius, meets Neptune who is foggy and unfocused. So legislation is questionable.

New Moon on the 6th and 7th in Sagittarius is a new start in our views. Full Moon in Cancer on the afternoon of the 22nd, the 23rd, and morning of the 24th contrasts private life and public life.
Fairly good days this month are 3, 4, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 25, 26, & 31.

I will be teaching a class at Aquarian Dreams on Sunday, Jan 27th at 2:30 pm. We will look at the planetary positions in 2019 and see how they will affect us. Call Cheri to register and email me with your birth data. Please make sure that I know if you will be in the class in advance. I have to prepare for you.

You may want to see some new pieces on my site, the Bible and Astrology and Egyptian Magic.
